Why I Developed Pocket Physio®

“I’ve been a physiotherapist for two and a half decades, and my mission has always been to empower people to help themselves. I designed Pocket Physio® because I wanted a tool that anyone could use — anywhere, anytime — without fuss. Too often, tools are too harsh, ineffective, not precise enough, bulky, noisy, or only work in one position. As a result, most gadgets end up in a drawer. I wanted to create something people actually value and carry with them - like lip balm or tissues- ready the moment you need it. Pocket Physio® was built to be different: simple, precise, and convenient. My hope is that it helps you find those small resets that make a big difference in daily life.”

Pain Is the Message — Not the Source.

If your symptoms keep coming back, it’s time to look beneath the surface. This free, physiotherapist-designed resource teaches you what traditional treatments often miss—how pain works, and what you can do today to take back control.

  • Kai, 28

"I have seen many professionals about my back pain, but no one explained to me what was actually going on. You gave me the keys to the castle. Thank you!"

  • Julie, 48

"When things get busy at work, the Pocket Physio helps me relax my shoulders. I love that it is so small and quiet. I use it at my desk, and people around me won't even notice. It's so calming!"

  • Sam, 32

"After long workdays juggling kids and deadlines, I’d feel totally wired. Using this tool in the evenings has become part of my wind-down ritual. It helps me slow down and reconnect with myself—like a small reset button. The tension just melts away."

  • Issy, 24

"After a gym sesh, my traps can get super tight. This little thing fits in my bag and helps me chill out fast. Love it!"

  • Nicole, 55

"I spend most of my day hunched over a screen, and this little tool lives in my desk drawer now. When I start feeling tight or wired, I take a few minutes with it—it’s become part of my midday reset. Love how easy it is - just a view minutes and I feel reset."

  • Grace, 23

"In the mornings my jaw feels so tight, using Pocket Physio helps ease that tension so I can start my day feeling more normal. It’s become a part of my routine — truly a little lifesaver.”

  • Holly, 42

"I got this for my mum because it looked light and easy to use. She spends hours reading and crafting and often feels tight in her neck. At first, she was sceptical—but now it lives next to her chair. She uses it while watching TV and says it helps her unwind and keep doing what she loves."

Meet the founder of The SelfCare Hub

Elena, Founder, Master of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, Master of Sports Physiotherapy

Most people are taught to treat pain by fixing the structure — muscles, joints, discs — with expensive, time-consuming treatments. But for so many, the real problem is left unaddressed.

Pain isn’t just about damaged tissues. It’s about the nervous system — the control centre for how your body feels and moves. If no one has ever explained that to you, it’s easy to get stuck in a cycle of appointments, treatments, and frustration.

At The Self-Care Hub, I teach you how pain actually works and how you can influence it yourself, using simple, manageable steps that fit into real life.

I’ve lived through my own experiences with pain and recovery, and I’ve worked with thousands of people over more than two decades as a physiotherapist. What I’ve learned — both professionally and personally — is that once you understand your nervous system, pain stops feeling like an enemy. It becomes a guide.

The structure matters, but it’s the system behind it that holds the real key. And when you know how to work with that system, you can move differently, recover faster, and get back to the life you want.

Simple tools. Evidence-based guidance. And a deep belief that you have more power than you’ve been led to think — that’s why I started The Self-Care Hub.
