The Turning Point
What 20 Years of Treating Bodies Taught Me About Pain
I've been a physiotherapist for over two decades. Trained in Germany, shaped in Sweden, now based in Australia.
For years, I treated the body the way I was taught—muscle by muscle, joint by joint. But something didn't add up.
Two people could have identical scans, identical injuries, identical treatment plans. One would recover quickly. The other kept struggling.
It frustrated me. I knew I was missing something critical.
When I pursued my Master's degrees in Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy in Australia, I discovered what that missing piece was: pain isn't just a tissue problem.
It's your body's protective alarm—influenced by stress, beliefs, sleep, emotions, and past experiences.
Once I understood that, I couldn't go back to treating only the physical. I had to see the whole person.
From Fixing to Guiding
The Day I Stopped Treating Pain and Started Listening to It
When I began looking beyond tissue damage, everything shifted.
I stopped trying to fix people and started guiding them to listen to their own bodies.
The answers weren't mine to give—they were already there, whispered by tension patterns, held breath, and guarded movement.
When people stopped fighting their pain and started understanding it as a message, profound change happened.
My role transformed: from doing the work for them to helping them trust their body's wisdom again.
That's when I knew I needed to create tools that empowered people to help themselves—not just in my clinic, but in their everyday lives.
A Tool Born from a Decade in Practice
Ten Years of Clinical Use Led to One Simple Solution
Vibration therapy has been used in physiotherapy for decades. Research shows it eases muscle tension by calming the nervous system and returning the body to a state of ease.
I used clinical-grade vibration tools for over ten years in practice. Patients felt the relief instantly—shoulders dropped, breathing deepened, tension softened.
But there was a problem: no quality device existed that was small, precise, and accessible enough for everyday self-use.
So I designed one.
After collaborating with engineers, I created a proprietary micro-vibration motor refined for targeted muscle relaxation. The result was a compact, ARTG-registered medical device shaped to fit the hand perfectly—gentle enough for the jaw, temples, and neck.
Pocket Physio was born from real clinical need. It's the tool I wished existed all along: small enough to fit your life, powerful enough to shift your nervous system from tension to calm.
Because when your body feels safe, everything changes.
